Not to mention the classical virus here and there.
When you make Claims like:
Detects, removes and blocks all types of Spyware and Adware threats.
On PC-Tools main website it actually shows Windows XP 2+ as required and this system didn't have the upgrade to SP1.
Microsoft Windows 7 (32bit, 64bit), Windows Vista SP1+ (32bit, 64bit), Windows XP SP2+ (32bit)
The Software installed and scanned with Zero as the results.
Was that due to windows not being up to date?
Why would this software report nothing found under SP1 then AVG finds a total of 80+ most being Adware and Spyware.
It's times like this the Technician in me just doesn't ask why.
Making a note never to install Spyware Doctor because of this one laptop should do the trick.
If it works it works, if it needs requirements then it needs to stop the installation and report the compatibility issues.
But to actually run as if all is well without reporting a single Adware infection is just to much.
I could install it again but I believe the best method is a Good firewall and AV.
