Remote Desktop with Firefox to IIS workplace?

Finding a solution for remote desktop management isn't as easy as downloading a single package, installing and running.

We are gearing up to test the Remote Deskotp Java (JAR) script developed by webInflection for our internal web based work place remote servce.

MS Remote Work Place is a fine product with one feature that seems to work everytime. Reconnecting to a disconnected session seems to work without fail when using IE and the remote workplace connection manager.

Some of our internal stations only offer Firefox which limits them to using the system RDP. We are looking for a web based application that can handle everything except username and password.

From our quick review the webRDP script just might be what our internal network needs. Simple enought to place links to Terminal Server One, Terminal Server Two etc.

Look for our test results later this week.

(When I find the notes I'll publish them. I'll update this article soon enough with fresh test results on a new virtual system.)
