Marking the Days IE6 is not supported at all. Well that day has come and gone. If you are running IE6 on anything and tell me its because of your old software that uses IE 6 please tell me you don't surf with that same computer. But I do have suggestions that you might be unaware of.
Found an interesting link from a web design company. Sure it would be very helpful for them not to support IE6 because that means less work (more profit) making things not backward compatible. Posted - 02/26/2010
IE6 doesn't make up for allot of internet users.
I would guess most that are still using IE6 are corporate users that have IT departments that don't like change.
I know of one very large company and it start with American, blah ... that uses only IE6 actually IE 6.5.043xxx or something like that but it is 6.5.
I'm not saying that Internet Explorer is the browser to use.
I use several browsers and IE8 is my last choice most times.
Firefox, Chrome are my first two picks but that's because my system seems to like them better than the IE8 that keeps locking up when I use 4 or more tabs.
Typically I have Firefox with over 20 tabs open and it does eat memory (300kb for my browsing habits)
But this post isn't about my opinion it's for those that have Internet Explorer 6 or IE6 and that's including those that have Internet Explorer 6.5.
Read the link from ComputerWorld titled "Web Designers announce IE6's Death...
I don't see it doing much. Those that are going to upgrade have done so years ago.
Those with IE6 will most likely continue with IE6 until their motherboards burn up then and only then will they upgrade
