There are many scripts, programs and applications you can run to clean out specific viruses and general viruses that aren't main stream applications. Some online technicians and technical websites publish allot of handy tools. I also have collected my share of VBScripts to kill processes and search out anything that might be running that shouldn't be running. I'll be posting the ones easiest to use in this section that might help you self-help yourself to computer repair.

Quick Snippets, quick specific scripts. Virus Removal Tools

I've collected allot of scripts that were designed to clean up specific viruses over the years and needed a place to start posting them.icon

Also, I have some of my favorite workaholic website owners that seem to have more time to write than I do. (Wish I had their day job)

I'll be posting links to specific scripts they talk about that are really good to use. (Not to say all of them aren't good, just some are not for new computer users or don't clean up easy.)

Look for Snippets of code and links to some not so mainstream software applications developed to assist you in correcting specific issues due to virus infections.

Also some guides short ones that cover more than just a single virus.

Virus Redirects browser or web page.

Redirects: Try this quick easy fix then you can remove that virus faster.

  1. Open your Internet Options. (Run or Search commands: inetcpl.cpl)
  2. Under the Connections tab click on LAN settings
  3. If you have a check mark in the Proxy Service section showing to use a proxy uncheck that.
  4. Click Ok
  5. Click Ok again to close out of the internet options.

That should stop the simple redirects on every webpage.
