I believe you know by now that drive-by virus infections are typically not the websites intentions.

In fact, most all of the drive-by infections I've picked up came from websites you and your kids might enjoy. That's the targets of a good Drive-By Virus Advertisement.

Let's take the one I got last week.

I was following the articles about why the Rolling Store magazine published a terrorists face on the front cover. My opinion doesn't matter about this but because this site is mine I suggest they stick to music and the people that make the industry and let the CNN's and NBC's publish the bandits.

Well, from the image you can see the domain of the advertiser but if you have read any of my other posts you will know that the server for this advertisement most likely has been hacked or the advertisement changed to allow some IFRAME or JavaScript that attempts the embed the bad bad bad code.

Advertisers really don't try to infect your computers anymore. I can't say it didn't happen in the past and I can prove in a few cases it actually was practiced. But today with the FTC all over the advertising world it would be very bad to infect people like this.

These are the few, the bad, the virus advertisers of the day.
