Desktop PC Repair for Home and Business Systems

Standard PC Service Rates: $50.00 to $65.00 flat rate repairs.

Service rates are typically flat rate per issue billing.

Per issue examples:

  1. Virus Infections.
  2. Hard drive failure.
  3. Operating System Installation.
  4. Program Configuration.
  5. PC Hardware Cleaning and Fan Replacement.
  6. PC Software clean up. (Typically fixed at $75.00 including software)
  7. Power Supply replacement.

Warranties cover items serviced on the billing or ticket only.

Some services can be bundled within the time period of 1 hour. PC clean up and virus removal will always be seperate issues. Hard drive and Operating System installation can be bundled as well as Power Supply replacements and computer fan replacements.

In the rare case that a repair fails within 30 days and are not caused by any other issue other than improper technical service the service will be repeated until the issue is corrected completely. This doesn't not include free parts or replacement of missing parts when the computer was presented for repairs. In over 20 years one return service has been ordered that was actually due to technical oversight.

Parts Warranties will be covered by the retailer or the manufacturer. We suggest always handling parts warranties directly with the manfucturer if the part has been in service more than 48 hours without issue. If the part arrives and does not function the retailer will handle the DOA return RMA.

Xtreme Computer does not resell components. Our list of preferred retailers include: Provantage.com (components, laptops), Crucial.com (Memory), as well as others that have been in business for more than 10 years. Software directly purchased from the software manufacturer.

When you call, have the following information ready so the technician can offer assistance faster and more accurately.

  • Computer Manufacturers Name
  • Make and Model of Computer
  • Service Tag Number (If any)
  • Operating System (See quick note here)
  • Brief description of issue and the last 3 things that happened or you were doing when you noticed the issue. (Relates to software issues)

Flat Rate Repairs are based on our repair process which is focused on the actual time a technician will be putting into the repair. If the time estimate is greater than 1.5 hours we use the Pickup and Delivery service which allows your computer to run time intensive software updates, scans and other processes from one of our workbenches. A technician isn't sitting idle running up the clock at your location.

Flat rate service also offers you better overall repair cost justification even for older computers. The Xtreme Computer Repair Process is time proven affective over the last 12 years. 

When a technician has finished the repairs, you can bet that the following has been done to help keep your computer from coming back for more repairs.

  • Over all systems check hardware
  • Software updates and patches checked
  • Startup applications checked
  • Antivirus application and updates checked
  • System scheduled tasks for maintenance checked
  • Account settings checked
  • Scheduled service follow up via Remote Desktop Service. (Typically this is 30 to 60 days after repairs have been completed. Requires help desk ticket scheduled.)

The technician will even offer up some quick training on how to keep your system safe and secure based on the issues discovered during the repair process.

On top of our normal service process when you use our help desk ticket system we will notify you when we find critical updates or system configurations that we feel you should be aware of. It's not a spam mail it's a technical notice which you can opt out of but it helps when you have a technician always up to date with industry changes.

After your issue has been resolved the most important thing is to have a quick follow up. The Remote Desktop service is designed to take a quick peek while you are at your computer to make sure everything is as it should be. This follow up service is only available to registered members and customers. It pays to keep records of your computer repairs not only for yourself but if another service technician or family member works on your system they will be able to log what they did for you. This service is what we typically offer a business owner. Our IT Administrators Guide for Business and the Administrators Log Book might be new to you but for good technicians service records have always been kept. Now you can use our system to keep your personal service updates and or professional service updates all in one place. Our help desk ticket system is available 24/7 with username and password login.
