Once again the rush to create some type of script to stop SideWiki Comment postings has run into a dead end.

Are you using the Hash method? www.your domain .com /#1A82

Some people think by redirecting people with the toolbar installed to a hashed URL is going to stop them from posting.

Even if you all know how to remove the GTB6 from your computer registry you will be pleased to know that you can still post to sites with HASH scripts that claim to stop you from posting comments and viewing comments.

My testing shows you can post to a hashed URL but if you refresh the screen you will not see your comments because the hash simulates a different page.

SideWiki is very sensitive about the URL.
If you type www.xtremecomputer.com/ that will be different from www.xtremecomputer.com and www.xtremecomputer.com/default.asp .

But their is a way to get around all the claims of blocking Google SideWiki.
Remove the Registry entry GTB6.
Always post your comments with an external link to your Twitter or Blog.
Once you post your comment without the GTB6 in your registry you will be able to read the comments just fine.

Only the webmasters are fooling themselves about hiding comments.

Now even with the GTB6 in your registry and the hashed URL you can follow the link from your blog and view all the comments on the page once again.

The HASH system only places a HASH (#) when there is none or when it detects the UserAgent GTB6.

Basically it's a waste of time to HASH your site.

Try my suggestions and you'll see not a single HASH site can keep you from posting.

Have fun!
Oh, it's better to monitor posts then to prevent them.
