Story book history:

Vax 780 (1)

Staring with my first Computer Science 101 class offered at the R.A.F. Edzell base in Scotland and handling systems administration as part of my work duties I became very familiar with some of the best systems of the times.

I advanced into computer programming and soon was designing and building mobile data terminals for cars and trucks. More like a 2 way texting platform I was able to send plain text messages over VHF repeaters and transmitters up to 150 miles. That was in the mid 80's using GrID Computers (GRiD Compass 1100  thanks to the local reseller.) and Packet TNC technologies.

I then entered into Data Centers and Motorola which offered more in the realm of large network infrastructures.
My largest network during the mid 80's can be best described as a country wide network. This was before Cellular communications when we had 1 way paging and need full country coverage. I worked in Italy for Motorola during this period and gained the knowledge of how to work in large groups and large data projects.

I have had special interests in electronics and commercial retail. I've designed and build special kiosk machines with simple applications for in store eCommerce. Like the price checkers you find in some major toy stores the design I build had complete catalog images, description and pricing that was updated over the local LAN. What made my design unique was neighboring stores would also have their product catalogs available on the same machine so shoppers could browse other items. This was designed for non-competing retail stores in a mall environment.

Skipping a decade or 2 and fast forwarding to today I am hosting virtual networks for the mobile community. Like my mobile terminal of the 80's that could text today's technology has added much more for us that use Wireless communications. Once called R.F. Communications or Radio Frequency Communications we now call it WiFi or Wireless might be better for anything that transfers data or digital voice.

You can keep up with some of my open projects here and on my Google + page.
I have private ventures and some retail projects that will be announced once I have demos online and instores for you to test.

You can keep up with me via Google + or by adding this site to your social bookmarks.
I also have a couple of other sites that might interest you. Don't worry about the themes, I use one standard template for all my development sites.

  • XtremeComputer.Com
    • IT tips and my favorite advertisement site for my consulting work.
  • MySmallCloud .Com
    • Lots of international Chinese tablet users I only post about my tablet for now.
  • MnWorks . Net
    • When employment services cost too much.
  • eTownShopping .Com
    • I've been testing some eCommerce projects here.
  • BayouShopping .Com
    • This is my shopping mall code project. It's old but its code that gets indexed fast. Let's say you need to sell a pillow, it will sell with the custom marketing this site offers.
  • MursPlace .Com
    • This site offers more than I can list and it's all notepad and notepad++ enabled.
  • GeeDidYouKnow .Com
    • I want to build a Wiki but not really a Wiki of facts that are helpful and proven to work. It will be produced by professionals that like to show off their knowledge knowing that some will use their free advice and others will call them to do the job.
  • I have a few more but they are portals to internal networks. If you join up on the server you'll have access to the internal systems.
